Cocktails and Dreams

Hello Dolly fans , I have making cocktails in my proper job this week, and though I would watch some more modern films so this week I am having my musical fix in watching the phantom of the opera, Gerald Butler is in this one, live him! Plus I watched the Vow last night, this is based on true events and was wonderful , sad but happy! I really like Nicholas Sparks novels and the films that go with them, this is in this genre, I also have Cloud Atlas as I bought the book in the charity shop in Ilkley when me and James were on an adventure date, so I will be watching that over the next few days, if anyone has any suggestions of books or films for me to watch for the blog, please leave me a comment , or find me on Facebook or Twitter @designsdolly FB www.facebook.com/dollymixtures

More modern times

I enjoy all 80's things, like movies, music and some of the fashion, but I also enjoy the 50's and 60's too, so this blog is about all things 50's, I love hell bunny dresses and films that are more modern with 50's themes and a favourite of my mine is Mona Lisa Smile, firstly I love Julia Roberts and all the 50's costumes and music , so on the playlist today on my day off is this and Jane Austen Book club, I have a happy medium in my life now, read a lot of books and watch a lot of films, but also find time for my lovely job and crafts of course ......

I especially like the art in Mona Lisa Smile, Picasso and Klimt, I have a print at home on my wall, the fashions are brilliant in this film, and it deals with feminist issues, and women's liberation .

I am partial to a musicals as well, like Hello Dolly, rock of ages and Caberet, there are so many good musicals!

Don't forget that the crafternoons start on the 10th September with cushion making with Love Me Sew!!!
